What is Intermodal Pool?+
Intermodal Pool connects vendors of intermodal equipment with the customers who need to rent it — chassis, equipment, and yard space near the Port of Long Beach and beyond. We make renting fast, transparent, and simple.
How much does it cost to list equipment?+
Listing is free. Intermodal Pool only charges a platform fee and payment processing when a booking is completed — we get paid when you get paid.
How do I list my equipment?+
Open a free account, connect your bank through Stripe, then add your equipment and set your own prices. You get a notification for every booking request and choose to accept or decline; payouts land in as little as two days.
How do I book equipment?+
Create a free account with your company details, search by location, type, and date, then request a booking. Your card is held — not charged — until the vendor approves. If it's declined, nothing is charged.
How does pickup and dropoff work?+
Pickup, dropoff, and insurance are arranged between the vendor and customer, with COIs handled in-app. Many yards near Long Beach offer 24/7 access.
What if I book but don't pick up?+
Pre-paid booking dates are non-refundable; any refund is at the vendor's discretion, and processing fees are not refunded. You can cancel a request a vendor hasn't approved yet with no penalty.
